Genetic testing for Personalized Nutrition

It is becoming increasingly clear that our genes determine our specific and unique nutritional needs.

Our practice has now incorporated Nutrigenomix, a simple genetics-saliva based assessment of how individual genetic variation affects a person’s response to nutrients and impacts the risk of nutrition-related chronic diseases.
This genetic saliva test helps us to know which client needs to follow personalized nutritional recommendations based on their DNA.

Our practice currently offers 4 types of Genetic Testing for Personalized Nutrition (for each of 70-gene tests) for:
-
Health & wellness
-
Sport and performance
-
Fertility
-
Plant-based

Validated Dietary Intake Assessment/ Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ)
Through Nutrigenominx, a genetic testing company, we offer 2 options to validated dietary assessment

1
Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ)
This food frequency questionnaire based on photographs that allows us to determine which DNA-based recommendations (if a genetic test is performed) the client is following with their current diet and which areas they need to focus on more.
It assesses the client's estimated intake, as well as the main foods they consume that contain nutrients they should limit, and the key nutrients they should include in greater quantities in their diet.

There is also a detailed summary of all the foods and beverages the client has indicated consuming, along with the frequency of consumption.
This FFQ is included in the Genetic Testing for Personalized Nutrition
2
A Food Frequency Questionnaire
without a Nutrigenomix test.
You may choose to complete the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) without the Nutrigenomix genetic test.
This photo-based questionnaire, which takes about 30 minutes to complete, provides a detailed dietary assessment with valuable information regarding the quantities of food and nutrients the client consumes.
This information helps identify which nutrient needs are currently being met, as well as which foods or beverages should be increased or reduced in the diet.
The cost is $50.00, and health insurance does NOT cover it.
